Patrick White and Amanda Hill, from WCC Countryside Services led a group of volunteers to install a new gate and improve the drainage on one of the main footpaths in Barnt Green. A lot of complaints had been received about the stile so it was decided to replace it with a gate. The gate has the advantage of providing better access for the less able. The path leading to the stile easily becomes waterlogged. The drainage was improved and stones were put down in the worst section.

The Volunteers were Stuart Smith (PPW Hunnington), Bobbie Matulja (British Horse Society), Barry Lynock (PPW Alvechurch) Bob Munden (PPW Churchill and Blakedown), Paul Hardcastle (PPW Belbroughton) and myself.
